Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams (80/20 lean to fat ratio)
  • Bacon - 4 strips
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
  • Sugar-free BBQ sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, sliced
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the beef mixture into two equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
  4. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. In the same skillet or on the grill, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  6. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese melts and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a lettuce leaf, topping with bacon, BBQ sauce, tomato slices, and onion.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your BBQ Bacon Burger!
