Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams (80/20 lean to fat ratio)
- Bacon - 4 strips
- Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
- Sugar-free BBQ sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4 medium, sliced
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Form the beef mixture into two equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet or on the grill, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese melts and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a lettuce leaf, topping with bacon, BBQ sauce, tomato slices, and onion.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your BBQ Bacon Burger!
