Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 800 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
- Ketchup - 120 ml
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.
- Rub the spice mixture generously over the pork ribs, coating both sides.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover tightly with another piece of foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours or until the ribs are tender.
- While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, reduce heat, and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F).
- Brush the cooked ribs with the barbecue sauce and return them to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
- Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut and serve with extra sauce on the side.
