Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 800 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
  • Ketchup - 120 ml
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture generously over the pork ribs, coating both sides.
  4. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover tightly with another piece of foil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours or until the ribs are tender.
  6. While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Bring the sauce to a simmer, reduce heat, and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  8. Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F).
  9. Brush the cooked ribs with the barbecue sauce and return them to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
  10. Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut and serve with extra sauce on the side.
