Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Barbecue sauce - 100 grams, plus extra for glazing
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and mustard powder.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined but do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf form.
  5. Spread an additional layer of barbecue sauce on top of the meatloaf for extra flavor.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
