Ingredients

  • Rolled oats - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Banana - 1 medium, sliced
  • Chopped walnuts - 1/4 cup
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option) - 1/2 cup

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats have absorbed most of the water and are creamy.
