Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts - 300 grams

  • Balsamic vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 20 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves.
  3. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the sprouts are well coated.
  5. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and caramelized.
  7. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts in the last 5 minutes of roasting.
