Ingredients

  • Ground beef (halal) - 300 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Balsamic vinegar - 100 ml
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Fresh arugula - 1 cup
  • Goat cheese - 50 grams
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form the mixture into two burger patties.
  2. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the balsamic glaze. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bottom bun, drizzling the balsamic glaze over the top, and adding arugula, goat cheese, tomato slices, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
