- Cream cheese - 200 grams
- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
- Unsalted butter - 30 grams, melted
- Chopped walnuts - 50 grams
- Honey - 30 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 50 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chopped walnuts, honey, and ground cinnamon.
- Prepare a small baking dish by brushing it with some melted butter.
- Layer 2 sheets of phyllo dough in the dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Spread half of the walnut mixture over the phyllo layers.
- Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the walnuts and spread evenly.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining phyllo, walnut mixture, and cream cheese mixture.
- Top the final layer of cream cheese mixture with the remaining phyllo dough, brushed with melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- While baking, prepare a syrup by boiling water and honey together for 5 minutes.
- Once the cheesecake is done, remove it from the oven and drizzle the honey syrup over the top.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
