Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 50g
  • Granulated sugar - 75g
  • Cocoa powder - 25g
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Unsalted butter - 50g, melted
  • Large egg - 1
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped walnuts - 30g
  • Chopped pistachios - 20g
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • Honey - 30g
  • Water - 30ml
  • Additional melted butter - for greasing

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a small baking dish (approximately 20x20 cm).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts, chopped pistachios, and ground cinnamon.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. While the brownies are baking, prepare the honey glaze by combining honey and water in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and well combined.
  9. Once the brownies are done, remove them from the oven and immediately pour the honey glaze over the top, spreading it evenly.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool in the dish for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
