- Egg - 1 large
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup
- Carrot - 1 small, grated (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gefilte fish, egg, finely chopped onion, dill, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Form the mixture into oval-shaped patties, about the size of your palm.
- Place the patties on a greased baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each patty and then sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly on top for a crispy texture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
