Ingredients

  • Apples (preferably Granny Smith or Fuji) - 2 medium
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar (optional) - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 120°C (250°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and dry the apples. Use a mandoline or a sharp knife to slice the apples into thin, even rounds (about 2-3 mm thick).
  3. Remove the seeds and core from the apple slices using a small knife or an apple corer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar (if using).
  5. Toss the apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the slices.
  6. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are crisp and dry.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving. Enjoy your healthy baked apple chips!
