- 2 Everything bagels - sliced into thin rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt - to taste
- 1 cup canned chickpeas - drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic - minced
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt - to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil - for hummus
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced bagels, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Toss until the bagel slices are evenly coated.
- Spread the bagel slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- While the bagel chips are baking, prepare the hummus. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of water, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Blend until smooth, adding more water if necessary to achieve desired consistency. Season with salt to taste.
- Once the bagel chips are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
