Ingredients

  • Baby back ribs - 800 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar-free BBQ sauce - 100 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. Prepare the ribs by removing the silver skin from the back and patting them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then evenly coat them with the spice mixture, ensuring they are well covered.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down, and cover them tightly with another piece of foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 200°C (400°F).
  8. Brush the sugar-free BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
  9. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
