- Apple - 1 medium, peeled and finely chopped
- Brown sugar - 30 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped walnuts - 30 grams

Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions, shape them into disks, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the dough chills, prepare the filling by mixing the chopped apple, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped walnuts in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disk of dough into a circle about 1/8 inch thick. Spread half of the apple filling evenly over the dough.
- Cut the dough into 8 wedges (like a pizza) and roll each wedge tightly from the wide end to the point to form a crescent shape.
- Place the rolled rugelach on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the second disk of dough and remaining filling.
