Ingredients

  • Antelope ground meat - 250 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Avocado - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4 small, finely chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground antelope meat with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized burger patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the avocado salsa by combining diced avocado, tomato, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro in a bowl. Gently mix together and season with salt to taste.
  5. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place each patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf and top with a generous spoonful of the avocado salsa. Serve immediately.
