- Antelope ground meat - 250 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Avocado - 1 medium, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Red onion - 1/4 small, finely chopped
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground antelope meat with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized burger patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the avocado salsa by combining diced avocado, tomato, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro in a bowl. Gently mix together and season with salt to taste.
- Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place each patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf and top with a generous spoonful of the avocado salsa. Serve immediately.
